City Tour and Township Langa

After pickup from your hotel, your guide takes you through Cape Town’s city centre, pointing out key sites such as the Company’s Garden, Castle of Good Hope, Greenmarket Square and City Hall. You hear how these places relate to the city’s history and political change.

Next, you visit Bo Kaap, a neighbourhood famous for its brightly coloured houses and cobbled streets. Here you have time for photos while learning about the area’s Muslim heritage and Cape Malay traditions.

The tour then continues to Langa Township, established in 1927. On arrival, you are welcomed by a local community guide who leads you on a walking tour through different sections of the township. Visit family homes, informal businesses, schools or community centres, depending on the day, and meet artisans at a local craft market. Throughout, you are encouraged to ask questions and engage respectfully with residents.
